Locked Out in Vista? Call and We'll Get You Back In

What happens when you call

1. Where you are. Cross streets or a complex name is enough. Most of Vista is ten to fifteen minutes from us via SR-78, E Vista Way, or Melrose Dr, and we tell you the real number, not "five minutes."
2. What is locked. A front door, an apartment, a car (make, model, year), or a business suite or roll-up door.
3. The price. You hear the lockout fee on the phone. It does not change at the door unless the job changes, and if it does, we say so before we do anything.
4. The ID check. Bring, or be ready to show, something that puts you at that address or with that car.

House and apartment lockouts

Non-destructive entry first, always. Most residential locks open with picks or a bypass without damage, and you keep your lock and your key. Drilling is a last resort for high-security cylinders or a lock that has failed internally, and we tell you before we drill and quote the replacement. Apartment complexes along E Vista Way and the newer buildings near Vista Village are the most common calls, usually a door that locked behind someone taking out the trash.

Car lockouts

We open cars: keys locked inside, keys in the trunk, a fob that died in the cup holder. Standard vehicles, no damage to the door or the weatherstrip. We are honest about the limit: we do not cut or program car keys or fobs yet, so if the key is lost rather than locked in, we get you into the car and refer you to a dealer or an automotive key specialist for the replacement. Typical spots: the Vista Village lots, the trailhead lots, and the Moonlight Amphitheatre parking on a show night.

Business lockouts

Suite doors, storefronts, and roll-up doors. We will need to see that you are authorized for the premises, which for a business usually means a key to another door, a lease, or a call from the owner. Businesses on a lock service contract go to the front of the line.

Why we ask for ID

Because the alternative is a locksmith who opens any door for anyone who asks, and you would not want that to be your door. A driver's license with the address, a lease, a utility bill on your phone, or a neighbor who can vouch for you all work. For cars, the registration in the glove box after we open it is fine.

Lost the keys, not just locked out?

If the keys are gone rather than inside, getting you in is half the job. Whoever finds them has your address on the mail in the same bag. Rekey after we get you in and the lost keys stop mattering. We can do it on the same visit.

Hours

Lockout hours: Lockouts until 9:30pm daily. Regular shop hours are Every day, 7:45am to 8:15pm. If it is outside those hours, the after-hours surcharge is posted on the pricing page and we say it on the phone.
