One locksmith for the whole building

The Vista Business Park is around 14 million square feet with more than 800 businesses in it, and more than 300 of them arrived in 2025. That churn is the whole reason this page exists. Every move-in is a rekey, every move-out is a set of keys nobody collected, and every quarter a closer or an exit device drifts out of adjustment on a door somebody is propping open with a bucket. Facility managers, property managers holding several tilt-ups, and tenants who have outgrown one suite all end up managing the same list of small hardware problems. A service contract takes the list.

What a plan covers

  • Scheduled visits. We walk every door: closers adjusted, exit devices latched and dogging checked, cylinders lubricated and tested, roll-up door hasps and gate locks inspected.
  • Priority response. Contract calls go ahead of walk-in work. Egress failures get next-business-day.
  • Discounted labor on every call, scheduled or not, and no trip fee inside the park.
  • Key control. Your master key system records kept current, new keys issued against the log, and lost keys handled by rekeying one tier.
  • Credentials. For buildings with access control, we audit the credential list against your staff list at each visit and remove the ones that should have gone months ago.
  • One monthly invoice across every building on the plan.

Key control on file

We keep three documents for every building on a plan: the keying schedule (which key opens which door), the key issue log (who holds each key, signed), and the door hardware inventory (make, model, and condition of every lock, closer, and exit device). You get a copy at every visit. When a tenant leaves, the inventory tells us what to rekey and the log tells us which keys to expect back. When a new tenant arrives, the same sheets tell the leasing office what the suite has and what it needs.

Before the fire inspector does

Egress hardware is the most common inspection correction we see in the park. Building and Portfolio plans include a pre-inspection walk: every required exit door checked for one-motion egress, correct closer, no added locks or bolts, and no dogged fire doors, with photos in your file. If a correction notice shows up anyway, it is covered at plan labor rates and scheduled first.

Around the park

The park runs along Business Park Dr and Park Center Dr, with the larger tilt-up rows off Sycamore Ave and the Melrose Dr side. Maritime suppliers, medical-device makers, sports and active-lifestyle brands, and a run of breweries with taprooms share walls with the EV, semiconductor, and battery companies that arrived in 2025. Taprooms bring their own hardware list: back doors that need exit alarms, cold rooms on keypads, and a front door closer that has to survive a Friday crowd. For the geography of the wider city, the service area page puts the park in context.

Good fit if you

  • Manage more than one building, or one building with more than a dozen doors
  • Have had a fire-inspection correction on door hardware
  • Cannot say today how many keys to the building exist
  • Want a named contact instead of whoever answers an ad

Contract questions

How long is the contract term?

Twelve months, billed monthly, and it renews unless you tell us otherwise. There is no early-termination fee; if we are not earning it, cancel with thirty days notice and keep your records.

What is the response time?

Suite plans get priority scheduling over walk-in calls. Building and Portfolio plans get same-week response for routine work and next-business-day for anything that affects egress or leaves a door unsecured. Lockouts for contract customers jump the queue during business hours.

Who owns the key records if we leave?

You do. The keying schedule, bitting records, key issue log, and hardware inventory are yours, and you receive a current copy at every quarterly visit. If you switch locksmiths, hand them the file and they can pick up where we left off.

Can we add buildings mid-term?

Yes. A new building gets its own walkthrough and is added to the same invoice at the per-building rate for the rest of the term. Suites you take over from a neighbor are added at the next quarterly visit or sooner if you need the rekey now.

Do you work after hours?

Scheduled work, yes: rekeys, cutover to a new key system, and exit-device replacements are often done after the last shift so the building never stops. Unscheduled after-hours calls follow our posted emergency hours, which are Lockouts until 9:30pm daily.
