When a key walks out the door
Somebody quits, a contractor finishes, a tenant moves out, and nobody is sure how many copies of the suite key are floating around Vista. The fix is a rekey: same locks, new pins, new keys, and the old ones stop working the moment we close the door. We schedule commercial rekeys the same week, and we will do them after your last shift so the floor never stops. With more than 300 businesses moving into the Business Park in 2025, move-in rekeys are most of what we do on a Tuesday.
You get a key receipt listing every cylinder we pinned and every key we handed over, so the next person who asks "who has a key?" gets a real answer.
Storefronts and glass doors
Aluminum storefront doors are their own trade. The narrow-stile hardware, the Adams Rite style deadlatches and hookbolts, mortise cylinders with the right cam, and thresholds that have worn until the bolt no longer reaches the strike. We carry the common cylinders and cams on the van, so a Main St shop or a S Santa Fe Ave office usually locks properly again on the first visit. When the door itself has sagged, we say so, because a new cylinder will not fix a door that is dragging on the sill.
Warehouses and roll-up doors
Roll-up doors, dock doors, and yard gates lock differently from a suite door: slide bolts with padlock hasps, interior bar locks, and the gate chain someone bought at a big-box store. We install and key hasps and slide bolts, match padlocks to your suite key so staff carry one key, and replace the gate lock that the whole crew knows the combination to. Most of this work is in the tilt-up rows off Sycamore Ave and Business Park Dr, where a warehouse shares a wall with a medical-device cleanroom and a taproom.
Key cabinets and key tracking
A key box on the wall with a sign-out sheet fixes more problems than it should. We supply and mount key cabinets, tag every key, and leave you a simple log. When you have more than a handful of doors and more than one team, the better tool is a master key system, where your key opens everything and each supervisor's key opens only their area. - Scheduled install. After hours if you want it. We bring the cylinders already pinned so cutover takes minutes per door.
- Key receipt. A list of every key cut and who signed for it, plus the pinning record we keep for next time.
